Shiryu is a student of Libra Dohko and an important partner of Seiya, Shun, Hyoga and Ikki. With an outgoing personality and a strong sense of justice, Shiryu is willing to sacrifice himself to see others happy. Seiya is his brother-in-arms to the bitter end, and he considers him a brother and a best friend. In his left hand, he wields the Sacred Blade given to him by Capricorn Shura.
